Scott C. Wickless, DO, FAOCD
Dermatopatholgy-Dermatology-Cutaneous Oncology
Dr. Scott Wickless is a board-certified Dermatopathologist and Dermatologist who has served as a clinical faculty member in the Departments of Dermatology at Northwestern University and Loyola University. He has also served as Director of Dermatopathology at the Hines VA Hospital in Chicago.
He is a member of the American Society of Dermatopathology, International Society of Dermatopathology, American Osteopathic College of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology. He currently serves on the peer-review team for The Lancet, Archives of Dermatology and the Archives of Dermatology.
He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and his medical degree from A.T. Still University's Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri. He completed his internship at Henry Ford Hospital and his dermatology residency at Michigan State University. He completed a one year cutaneous oncology fellowship and a one year dermatopathology fellowship at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
He has received numerous awards, including the Michigan Dermatological Society Resident of the Year Research Award, the American Osteopathic Association Resident of the Year Award, and the American Academy of Dermatology Resident of the Year Award, serving as the American representative in Torino, Italy.
Dr. Wickless has authored multiple abstracts, textbooks and peer-reviewed journal articles, including the New England Journal of Medicine, Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Journal of Cutaneous Pathology and Archives of Dermatology.
His special interests include providing compassionate comprehensive care in Dermatology, Dermatopathology and Cutaneous Oncology. His research interests include clinical and pathological features of cutaneous oncology. He is an avid cyclist and Masters Alpine ski racer.
