Hi! My name is Jim Young, and I have been a physician since 1982. I graduated from the Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. I interned in Emergency Medicine at the Darnell Army Community Hospital, Fort Hood, Texas. I served in the Army three years. I completed a General Practice residency, certified in General Practice in 1986. I practiced solo in my hometown, Lebanon, Ohio for two years. I trained in dermatology at Grandview Hospital Medical Center, Dayton Ohio for three years. I completed training and was certified in dermatology in 1991.
I practiced with a dermatologic surgeon in Dayton, Ohio for three years. I then moved to Gallipolis, Ohio, where I was the lone dermatologist in a group of 95 physicians. I moved to Yankton, South Dakota in 1998. We now live 45 miles from where my wife grew up.
I married Bonnie Lea Bousfield in 1984. We have been blessed with two children, Ethan James (1-18-89) and Elizabeth Marie (5-13-91). We are all born again Christians, who enjoy serving God in South Dakota, or wherever God may lead us.
My goal is to offer compassionate, competent, and complete care for anyone who is experiencing troubles with their skin, hair, or nails.
